A seasoned musician with a lifelong passion for musical invention, Michael Heinerth is not just a guitarist and vocalist; he’s the maestro behind creating unforgettable moments at your events. From his early days singing in church choir to playing the saxophone in marching band, Michael's musical journey has been an expedition of musical innovation. With a repertoire spanning Rock classics, Country favorites and Reggae jams, Michael has honed his craft to bring a touch of musical magic to every occasion.

Michael has been a cornerstone of various musical ensembles and performed in the Asheville area for over 20 years. In 2026, he took the leap into professional solo performances, gracing wineries, breweries, weddings, memorials, and festivals with his lively tunes. Beyond the stage, Michael is dedicated to supporting other musicians by building,  modifying, and repairing  instrument and other gear yo keep people bringing music to all of us. We all need the music as the soundtrack to our lives!

Inspired by the freedom of classic rock anthems like Call Me The Breeze by JJ Cale and Lynnard Skynnard,  Michael began formulating what would become the Biff Buford Experience in 2005. Adding in orher anthems that capture the spirit of freedom,  good times, and a little  lawlessness,  the Voodoo Island Swamp Boogie style emerged. Biff Buford is a bohemian hobo pirate that has to be experienced to be believed. 

Michael is dedicated to providing the service that you expect and deserve. He will arrive with plenty of time to set up and prepare so that the event goes off without a hitch. He is always respectful of the space and any guidlines/rules of the event. 

Michael is doubly committed to providing an enjoyable experience for any event. Drawn to songs that uplift and combined with the zany sound of the kazobo, Michael crafts experiences that are memorable and entertaining for all.
